After I glibly named the last post "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" after a track on Van Halen II (because none of the song titles from Diver Down floated my boat), I listened to that song again. Wow, what a tune. The lyrics are simplistic, of course, but the chord progression is bitchin' and the intro power chords -- dunh, dunh, DUNH! -- makes the hairs on my arms stand up. So since Tuesday, I've only listened to "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" and I'm still not tired of it.
Part of me wonders if I'm retreating into some pathetic nostalgia bubble, but if the soundtrack is this cool, who cares?
